6 Rules For Living With A Cat

6 rules for living with a cat

Cats are said to be one of the most difficult species to understand. Of course if you love cats you won’t agree with that. But it’s true that understanding a feline can be more difficult than understanding another less expressive animal. If you have a kitten (or intend to have one), and it is taking a long time to adapt to you, check out these rules of coexistence, which will help you a lot.

Rules guide for living with a cat

This guide was created with the help of experienced veterinarians  and will help us understand a little more about this species that has shared life with humans for some nine thousand years. Some say it’s as simple as “let me sleep and I’ll give you peace.” However, we will give you other rules to follow.

If it’s the first time you’ve owned a cat, remember it’s not a dog.

We already know that both species are different. But when we adopt a cat for the first time, we may expect similar behavior to dogs. Well, this is a serious mistake. The illustrator Puño explains it this way, quoted verbatim:

And there is no home

Once you have adopted a cat, your home becomes his home. Cats are territorial and appropriate everything around them. So don’t forget, it’s not you who has a pussy, it’s your cat who has a human. He likes to let you live close to him.

If you let him sleep one night with you, get ready for a night life together

Even though cats are very independent, as we’ve said before,  they are territorial, but also affectionate.  These two adjectives together mean that if you ever let them sleep in your bed, you have to do it every night.

If you think it will be good every night for your cat to climb on you and wake you up, you had better under no circumstances even let him into your room.

However,  if you like to enjoy his company while he  sleeps, then let him spend the night with you. Even if you are single and from time to time sleep together, you have to know that there will be three in a bed and not two.

Rest assured, your cat loves you

Cats  are not as expressive animals as dogs,  who are super happy to see us or when we are with them that sometimes we even think they smile. But rest assured, your cat loves you, but he doesn’t have to pet you or throw himself on you. Maybe he just sharpens his nails in his favorite spot or rubs his leg over and over again.

If you live with a cat you will need:

  • a vacuum
  • Rollers for hair removal
  • Brush to remove excess hair

There is a downside to living with a cat: it sheds hair. Everywhere, on all sides it will be full of her pussy hair. You can say goodbye to your black outfit and hopefully your sofa isn’t velvet.

Brush your cat daily  and vacuum the house every day so that it doesn’t accumulate hair, as you may even wake up with an allergy.

If you don’t purr…

They say cats purr when they’re comfortable, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t when they don’t. Also, this could be an indication that something is not right. Sometimes cats purr when they feel pain or are sick.  If you find your cat’s purr is out of place most of the time, go to the vet urgently.

Pay attention to these advices to live with a cat, your life will be easier and happier with your feline.
